Sadly, tonight was our last class! For a great send-off, I decided to end with my favourite type of drawing and something that many of the students were asking about—drawing faces.
Back to good ol’ charcoal and kneaded erasers, we dove into the basic proportions of the face. With some simple instructions about the measurements of the face and a general photo as a reference, we had a great time drawing a generic male face. Check out some of the incarnations—
Tonight was a great night and as always, a ton of fun. I hope that all of my students have enjoyed their time and have felt challenged.
It was rather sad, to see things end… for now… until January that is. I hope to see many of you again. I would love to dive into some new things like colour, values and perspective. There is so much to explore!
Merry Christmas to all!
